She wins XBIZ All-Girl Series of the Year for real now. Tali’s phone buzzes, it’s Scarlett Sage herself, the soccer captain, calling for a last-minute practice. Tali says yes before she can think. Scarlett hangs up grinning like she knows she’s about to nail the trick shot. They hit the field kicking half-heartedly until Tali wipes out. Scarlett leans in pretending to check on her, her eyes glued to Tali’s mouth. Tali claims she’s fine, but before the word leaves her lips Scarlett pounces, kissing her deep enough to taste the sweat. Tali feels the punch of her own crush finally getting real. They scramble inside, Scarlett slamming her onto the mattress, devouring her. Tongues tangled, hands busy, eventually thighs locked and hips grinding while they lick and finger each other until both come so hard they basically black out. When they finally look up, the scoreboard in the distance tells the ugly truth: they totally blew the game. Tali yanks on her shorts, sprints home trying to invent an excuse her mom won’t buy. Jenna’s second later sigh is all Scarlett needed to hear.
