Power Play

Kitchen scene. Madison's in the middle of making a smoothie when the doorbell breaks her flow. She's not expecting anybody, so she kills time wiping her hands before she heads over. It's Jordan from work. They walk back to the kitchen and that's when he lays it out — he knows she's been knocking people off the ladder to climb faster and he wants something to keep his mouth shut. She just flips on the blender and lets the ice explode into slush. Afterwards she hits him back with his own dirty laundry, chapter and verse. He tries to laugh it off like it's all bullshit but she watches his grin turn honest. She reads that spark and offers the obvious trade: they should just fuck. Jordan tries to scoff but she can see the yes in his eyes. 'Not a chance,' he says anyway, all swagger. She steps closer. 'You were already hard from the moment you got here, don't lie. Money's not the play for either of us. The fight you staged was just foreplay.' Jordan swallows the dare, gives her a crooked grin, and says 'Hope you can handle it.' Her answer is instant: 'Bring it on.' What he thinks he's walking into and what she's actually packing, though? Totally different thing.
