Ashley sits on her bed reading scripture when her roommate Jessica starts getting changed. Ashley tries not to look, but her eyes keep drifting to Jessica's body anyway. She catches herself and turns back to her Bible, trying to focus until Jessica finishes dressing and walks over. They sit down to go over their route for tomorrow. There's a lot of doors to knock on, a lot of people who need saving. Maybe they'll find a few good ones worth taking back to the church. Jessica climbs into her own bed once they're done and kills the lights. Ashley's trying to read by flashlight when she notices Jessica watching her from the dark. Neither of them says a word. Then Jessica's across the room and climbing under Ashley's covers, and they're kissing before Ashley can remember all the reasons why they shouldn't. The next day they get the call from Brother Benson. Ashley's getting transferred out. Someone must have talked. They're both crying by the time the call ends, knowing this might be the last time they ever see each other. Ashley's gripping Jessica's hands, promising she'll wait as long as it takes, swearing nothing's going to change what they have. Then they're stripping each other's clothes off one more time because they've only got tonight left.
