The Man In The Mask

Tom and his wife Margaret saw the whole circus next door—cop cars, yelling, an ambulance. Before they can even guess what went down, Tanya shows up on their doorstep bawling. Turns out some asshole tried breaking in, put her husband in the hospital, and now she wants to crash with them till he’s back. Couple nights later Tom strolls into the kitchen and catches Tanya spinning that ski mask on the table like it’s the devil’s fidget toy. She says sleep’s impossible; every time she shuts her eyes she’s right back in the scene. Tom tries the neighborly comfort bit, but then she drops the bomb: it’s not fear keeping her up—it’s a hard-on for the masked bastard who punched her husband’s ticket. She’s scared the obsession’s gonna wreck her marriage, so she slides the mask across the table and tells Tom to wear it and wreck her the same way. He’s got a half second to think about Margaret upstairs before Tanya grabs his belt and he’s in the mask, grabbing her rough and feeding that filthy fix straight into her guts.
